The Atom Pop is a stove top corn popper that requires no shaking or stirring. This cone-shaped appliance has a 3-3/4-inch diameter base and a 10-1/2-inch aluminum bowl. The device pushes popped kernels away from the heat, while the aluminum bowl protects them from burning. The Atom Popper can make up to 2-1/2 quarts of popcorn, and is a healthy alternative to microwave methods since it contains no additives. It is simple to use and dishwasher safe. Instructions

      Preheat your stove's burner on high heat.

      Measure 1/2-cup popcorn kernels and pour it into the Atom Pop.

      Measure three tbsp of cooking oil and pour it into the popper. Substitute olive oil for a healthier option. Add 1/2-cup sugar to the mix if you choose to make kettle corn.

      Place the lid on the popper and place the popper on the stove top burner.

      Wait for the popper to become hot, which is when the kernels begin popping.

      Remove the popper from the stove when the kernels have stopped popping.

      Salt to taste and serve the popcorn from the aluminum bowl, which will cool very quickly. Or pour the popcorn into a serving dish if you prefer.

Tips & Warnings

  • Different types of popcorn may require a slightly different amount of oil.

  • If you are using a gas stove, adjust the flames to go up the sides slightly.

  • For better results, swirl the popper before placing it on the stove. This coats the kernels thoroughly.
