It isn't difficult to obtain cleaning accounts with Realtors. It is challenging, however, to keep an account if you don't adhere to solid customer service practices. Realtors value the vendor they can trust to be on time, to be honest and efficient.

1. Create business cards for your cleaning service that promotes yourself as a move-out cleaning specialist.

2. Print flyers that include the same information as your business cards and expands on the services you offer to Realtors. Before and after photos of a particularly tough job are impressive. You may also want to offer a discount on the first job, and promote that, in large print, on the flyer.

3. Check the Sunday newspaper to find open houses and drive around the area on Sunday. This is the perfect opportunity to meet with a Realtor one-on-one and explain your services. Take flyers and business cards with you to leave behind with the Realtor.

4. Make a list of the addresses of all of the real estate offices in your area. Pay a visit to each office and ask the receptionist if you can leave a flyer for each Realtor.

5. Ask your current client agents to recommend you to other agents. Leave them additional business cards to hand out. The working world of the Realtor isn't as small as one might think. Word of mouth can either make or break your business. Be sure to commit yourself to excellent customer service: show up on time, do the job you agree to do and Realtors will refer you to others.
