How to Hook Up an HP Network Printer to a Wireless Router

Your HP wireless printer can connect to your wireless router so you can share it across your home network without attaching the printer directly to the router or another computer. This setup allows you to place the HP wireless printer anywhere within range of the wireless router, so you don't have to put it right in the middle of things.

Things You'll Need

• Wireless network name and password

Instructions

1. Plug your HP wireless printer into power. Move it so the printer is within range of your existing wireless network.

2. Touch the arrow key on the right side of the HP wireless printer's display screen.

3. Select "Setup." Tap "Network" then "Wireless Setup Wizard."

4. Scroll through the wireless network list that the HP wireless printer picks up. Tap the network name for your wireless network.

5. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter your wireless network's password. Tap "Done." Tap "OK" twice.
