Instructions

    • 1

Set aside a time and place in the early morning where you can be alone. If you have a daily meditation or centering practice, incorporate your Tarot card reading into it.

    • 2

Pick up your Tarot cards and shuffle them.

    • 3

Stop shuffling the cards when you intuitively feel ready to stop and set the deck face down in a stack on the table.

    • 4

Cut, or divide, the deck into three separate stacks using your left hand. Pick up two-thirds of the cards from the top of the stack and place them face down to the left of the original stack. Pick up half of the cards from the top of the second stack and place them face down to the left of the second stack.

    • 5

Turn over the card on the top of the Tarot stack to your far left. This is the "Body Card," which refers to the state of your physical body. Study the images on the Tarot card to explore how your body is feeling at the moment.

    • 6

Turn over the top card from the center Tarot stack. This is the "Mind Card" and it signifies what you are thinking about or are consciously dealing with. Study the card to help you explore your current state of mind, attitude and thoughts.

    • 7

Pick up the top card from the Tarot stack to your far right and lay it face up in front of you. This is the "Spirit Card," which refers to your ideals, goals and aspirations. The imagery on the card relates to how you are either manifesting or resisting the things that your spirit wants you to see.

    • 8

Refer to your Tarot instruction booklet if you want further interpretations of the cards that you pick during your Tarot reading.

    • 9

Observe how the cards that you picked manifest throughout your day. Let the messages you received from your daily reflection Tarot spread guide you in understanding your experiences, thoughts and feelings.

Tips & Warnings

  • To get to know yourself and your Tarot deck, perform a daily reflection Tarot card reading each day and journal about the cards that you pick. Use the Body/Mind/Spirit Tarot spread or explore other Tarot spreads. You may wish to shuffle and randomly choose just one Tarot card and reflect on the messages that the card signifies.
