How to Make a Ghost Out of Yarn
Few are likely to go through their childhood without making at least one tissue ghost, but facial tissue isn't the only material you can create ghoulish Halloween decorations with. Reach for a ball of yarn when it comes time to make this year's Halloween decorations. Use that yarn to fashion hanging ghosts so simple to create that even your children can get in on the crafting festivities.

1
Cut out a 6-inch square of cardboard.

2
Wrap the white yarn around the cardboard 100 times. Measure and cut a 12-inch piece of white yarn. Slide the piece of yarn under the wrapped yarn at the top edge of the cardboard. Tie the yarn around the wraps, and trim the tails of the yarn close to the knot. Snip the wrapped yarn along the bottom edge of the cardboard.

Place a dot of hot glue on the top of the foam ball. Place the center of the bundled yarn in the glue. Arrange the yarn over the ball to completely cover it. Use hot glue down the sides of the foam ball to hold some of the yarn covering the sides.

4
Use small dots of hot glue to attach craft eyes to the front of the ghost.
-
5
Measure and cut an 8-inch length of fishing line. Thread the line through the yarn tied around the yarn bundle at the top of the ghost. Tie the ends of the fishing line together to create a loop for hanging the ghost.

Tips & Warnings
An adult should do all the hot glue gun work if children are creating the ghosts, or use craft glue in place of hot glue.
