How to Change the Time Zone on a Remote Computer

The time zone that your computer's clock is set to affects what time is displayed in the system tray and what time is used for internal calculations. If you have a remote computer that is accessible to you via the Remote Desktop Connection program, you can log in to the remote computer and change its time zone via the clock utility in the operating system.

Instructions

1. Click the "Start" menu on your local computer, type "remote desktop" and press "Enter" to open the Remote Desktop Connection client.

2. Type in the IP address or remote computer name of the computer whose time zone you want to change, press "Enter" and enter your login credentials for the remote computer.

3. Right-click on the remote computer's clock, click "Adjust Date/Time" and click on "Change time zone."

4. Select the time zone you wish to change the remote computer to and click "OK."
