Unleash your inner vampire.

Vampires are a popular costume for teenage girls. From the three vampiress sisters in "Dracula" to the beautiful villains in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," the image of the seductive female vampire has a firm place in pop culture. Finding the perfect costume is not enough for this character, however. The makeup is what will take it from a generic costume to a full-blown character. Practice this makeup a few times before Halloween to make sure you have the hang of it.

Instructions

    • 1

Wash your face with soap and water. Then, wipe it down with an astringent such as witch hazel to remove any oils.

    • 2

Apply a pale shade of foundation to your face, neck and ears. If you are making a major change to your skin tone, you should cover all exposed skin.

The foundation can be applied with a makeup brush, sponge or with your fingers. There is no right or wrong, use the applicator that gives you the best results.

    • 3

Powder the foundation with translucent makeup powder, using either a powder puff or a fluffy powder brush. This will help to keep it from smearing.

    • 4

Apply black eyeliner to your upper and lower eyelids.
