How to Make a Probability Graph
Making a probability graph is a valuable skill to have. These graphs, which depict the chances of various outcomes happening, are best represented in pie charts, which provide a nice visual comparison of how the chances of different events compare to each other. Use a protractor to neatly and accurately make your probability graph.

1
Use a compass to draw a circle, which will serve as the pie chart. Be sure to clearly mark the point at the center of the circle with your compass.
-
2
Draw a straight line through the radius of your circle, from the mark at the middle to the circle's edge. Place the hole of your protractor over the point at the center of your circle, and the line of your protractor over the radius.

3
Use the angle markings on your protractor to depict the first probability. If your chances of drawing a yellow marble from a bag are 1/3, then you need to draw an angle that takes up 1/3 of the circle, meaning that the angle must be 1/3 of 360 degrees, which is 120 degrees. Mark the 120 degree angle, then draw a line joining it to the center of the circle.
-
4
Mark the section that you just drew clearly: Yellow Marbles--30 percent.
-
5
Draw, in a similar fashion, other angles, to account for the other 70 percent of the graph. You can always place the hole of the protractor on the center mark, and the line of the protractor on the lines that you draw within your circle. Then, draw your new angle and mark the section appropriately.
-
6
Color or shade the different sections of your graph in different colors, if you wish. This will make the distinction, among different probabilities, even more apparent.
