How to Get a Personalized Facebook URL
If you use social networking website Facebook on a regular basis, you may notice that some of your friends have personal URLs for their profile pages. Yours, on the other hand, might be a combination of letters and numbers that no one could ever remember. If you'd rather have your page URL be something such as "www.facebook.com/mysamplename" instead of "www.facebook.com/hsdf723haf92, you can make this change easily without having to download a Facebook app.

1
Visit the Facebook homepage and log in to your account by entering your email address and password in the top right corner of the screen.
-
2
Delete the URL in your Internet browser and replace it with "www.facebook.com/username," and then click the "Enter" key. Doing so brings up Facebook's profile user name page.
-
-
3
View the list of recommended and available user names for your Facebook account. Often, these names are your first and last name separated by a period.
-
4
Click on "More" to expand the options, and then type in the name you'd like to use. Press "Check Availability." If the name you typed is available, click "Check Availability" again, and then press "Confirm." If your name is unavailable, continue entering different wording until you find one that's available. Or, select one of the recommended/available user names.

Tips & Warnings
Facebook allows you to enter only one user name, and once you've done so, it's permanent. As such, take time to decide that the name you want to use is the one you'll be happy with in the foreseeable future.
