Facebook allows you to share your photos with your friends and store them in albums.

Facebook is a social network platform that provides a way to share content and media with your friends, family, and co-workers. One of the site's most powerful features is its photo-sharing capabilities. You can upload photos to Facebook from your computer's hard drive or mobile phone and organize them into albums. You can also assign each photo its own caption and other descriptive information, then share them with your Facebook friends. If you want to look at another user's pictures, you must visit the user's Facebook profile and view the profile's photo gallery page.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to your Facebook account. Many Facebook users set their privacy levels so that only people whom they've added as friends can see their photo galleries.

    • 2

Visit the profile of the person whose photos you wish to view. If the person is your friend on Facebook, find the profile link easily by typing the person's name in the search field at the top of the home page. A drop-down list of profiles appears with a link to your friend's profile at the top. Click the link to visit the profile. You can also search for profiles of people who aren't your Facebook friends by typing their names in the search field. Select the correct profile from the drop-down list that appears.

    • 3

Click the "Photos" tab on the left column under the profile picture's thumbnail. Facebook redirects you to the profile's main photo page, displaying a thumbnail gallery of the user's albums at the top; beneath that is a stream of all the photos in which users have tagged the person on Facebook.

    • 4

Click an album to view a thumbnail gallery of all the photos the album contains.

    • 5

Click any photo to view the full-sized versions of the photos in a black pop-up box.

    • 6

Use the right and left arrows on either side of the photo pop-up box to navigate through the rest of the album's photos.

    • 7

Click the "X" icon in the upper-right corner of the black pop-up box to close it and return to the user's main photos page.

Tips & Warnings

  • View a Facebook photo on its own page, without the black pop-up box, by right-clicking the photo and opening it in in a new browser tab.
