If the display on your MacBook Pro becomes filthy, you can clean it.

If your MacBook Pro's glossy screen becomes dirty, such as when you smudge it with oily fingerprints or it gets dusty, you won't be able to see items very clearly. You might be tempted to use a harsh cleaner or squirt liquid directly on the screen to clean the display, a practice that Apple recommends against.. Instead, use the cleaning cloth that Apple includes with every MacBook Pro.

Instructions

    • 1

Click the "Apple" logo at the upper left corner of the Finder menu on your MacBook Pro, and then click "Shut Down" to power down the computer.

    • 2

Unplug the power adapter from the MacBook Pro from the MagSafe power port on the left side of the computer.

    • 3

Moisten the included cleaning cloth with clean water just enough to dampen it.

    • 4

      Wipe the screen clean.
