How Can I Wear a Mohawk With a Headband?
It's obvious that a tall and pointy Mohawk hairstyle will never do well under a winter hat. If you live in the northern part of the country, this could be a problem. Weeks of freezing temperatures can endanger your ears and make being outside miserable. Keep the frostbite away and cover your ears in a number of creative ways using headbands. You'll still sport your style while staying much warmer. Does this Spark an idea?

Fit a knitted headband around your head. Position it in the middle of your forehead and bring the back end of it down below the back end of your Mohawk. Push the headband slightly toward the top of your head on both ends, sliding it up until your ears are covered. Your Mohawk will bend a little bit but will spring right back after you remove the headband.

Wear a spring-form set of ear warmers. This design is so unobtrusive that they're even approved to be worn with military uniforms. These U-shaped tools have ear muffs at each end. The curved part of the U fits around the nape of your neck, keeping your ears toasty while never showing the band.

Dress your hair in liberty spikes if you're going to be outside and wearing a headband all day. Fit the headband across your forehead in the front and between the bottom two spikes in the back.

Tips & Warnings
In extreme weather conditions, skip the spiking and wear your Mohawk flopped over to one side. You can fit any hat or headband over this style.
