How Do I Reduce the Size of Google Chat?

Google Talk is a Web browser-based chat and instant messaging application. The program has many features, including video chat, file sharing and the ability to call a phone from your personal computer. Users can also send and receive voice mails on Google Talk. Use the program through Gmail, Google's email service, or download the Google Talk software. Both formats allow you to customize the appearance and size of the application.

Gmail Customization

1. Sign into your Gmail account. Scroll down until the chat box in the sidebar is completely visible.

2. Click the down arrow next to "Chat." In the menu, there will be four sizes to choose from: tiny, small, medium and large. There will be a check mark next to your current setting.

3. Click the size you would like to switch to. Your chat box will automatically adjust.

Software Customization

1. Open "Google Talk" and sign in with your Google account.

2. Click the lower right corner of the application and hold the mouse key down.

3. Drag the corner in any direction to customize the size of the application.
