How to Convert a Steam Community to a SteamID

The Steam content delivery service is a digital distribution method developed by Valve in late 2003. If you create a Steam account to purchase computer games, you automatically have an account with the Steam Community, where you can share your stats and screenshots and create a friends list. By default, your Community URL is set to your Steam ID. If you want to convert it to your own personal ID, you can do that through the Community website.

Instructions

1. Go to the Steam Community website and log in to your account.

2. Click "Edit my Profile."

3. Scroll down to the "Custom URL" heading halfway down the page.

4. Click the text field after "/id/" and type in your desired URL.

5. Click "Save."
