How to Get Trendy Waves
Just as popular hair styles are always changing, so are the techniques for creating those trendy styles. A abundance of mousse, a blow dryer and a scrunching motion was once a common way to create waves. The end result was usually crunchy, messy hair. Modern, soft, smooth waves are simple to create using the old curling iron you used to wield to create tight ringlets. A few changes to the old curling method creates natural-looking, bouncy waves. Tips & Warnings
If your hair does not hold curls well, lightly spray each section with hairspray before wrapping it around the curling iron.
To save time, pre-heat your curling iron while you are blow drying your hair.
Since this method does not use the clamp to hold the hair around the barrel of the hot iron, avoid touching the barrel of the curling iron to prevent burns.
Curling irons can become very hot. If your curling iron has a temperature control setting, use the lowest effective setting.
