  • Medium sized pot
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Colander
  • Baby carrots

      Fill a medium sized pot 3/4 of the way full with water and turn your stove top to high heat.

      Sprinkle 1/8 tsp. of salt into the water and allow the water to come to a complete boil.

      Place the desired amount of baby carrots into the pot carefully.

      Turn down the heat to low and let the carrots simmer for eleven minutes uncovered.

      Place the colander into your sink and drain your carrots by pouring the water and carrots over the colander.

      Allow the carrots to cool until they are only warm to the touch and feed them to your finch.

Tips & Warnings

  • It is best to mix other vegetables with the carrots such as spinach, celery and onions.

  • Do not feed your finch the carrots until they are cooled off and only warm to the touch.
