How to Remove an Anchor in GIMP
GIMP is a freely available imaging editing program designed to operate on computers running Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows. One feature that elevates GIMP above the more basic image editors often packaged with operating systems is the ability to add and manipulate multiple layers of data in one image file. Anchor layers play a critical role in this process as all imported images must be "anchored" before they can be edited. Despite the fact that GIMP is available at no charge, copious amounts of support documentation is provided to give guidance for many basic and advanced tasks.
