How Do I Get the Dancing Banana on My Computer?
In 2001, a Flash animation featuring a dancing banana spread over the Internet. DJ Chipman's "It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time" accompanied the banana's rather spastic side-to-side movements. Since 2001, the dancing banana has popped up frequently in popular culture. References to this phenomenon have appeared in television shows such as "The Family Guy," "The Proud Family" and "American Idol" as well as in video games such as "The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy," "Rumble Fighter" and "World of Warcraft."
