How Can I Be a Respectful Wife?
Mutual respect is an important ingredient in a marriage, and as a wife you want to encourage your husband and show him that you care about his well-being and what he values. When you respect your husband, he not only appreciates your efforts but he will also try to do everything he can to be a loving and respectful husband. Even if you disagree with some things he does, you want to express your concern in a respectful manner.

Pay attention to his concerns. If your husband doesn't want to buy a house but you think you should, sit with him and ask why he feels this way. Also don't try to pressure him into making the choice you want him to make. Instead, respect his decision to wait awhile before making this important decision.

Show respect for his family and friends. If you don't like his three younger brothers' personalities but your husband likes to invite them over on occasional weekends, don't belittle or make rude comments to them. Be polite to them and go to another room while they're with your husband.

Show your appreciation for him. If your husband works late on most nights and is often too tired to cook, have dinner already prepared for him when he comes home so he can reheat the meal in the microwave for a few minutes. Or if your husband does most of the housework while you're at work during the week, let him relax on the weekend and then have the children help you with the chores instead.
