How to Connect a Toshiba S305 to Wireless Internet
Most laptop users prefer to have the ability to connect to wireless Internet, without the wires and limited mobility that an Ethernet or telephone cord entail. The Toshiba Satellite 2455-S305 laptop contains a built-in wireless networking card for accessing wireless networks on the go. This laptop also features a PCMCIA slot that accepts other networking cards. Connecting your Toshiba laptop to a wireless network is a simple process that only takes minutes to complete.

Locate the wireless antenna on/off switch on the left-hand side of the laptop. Make sure it is set to the "ON" position marked on the laptop. If you do not wish to use the built-in wireless card, insert your wireless networking card into the PCMCIA slot located on the left-hand side of the laptop.

Locate the network connection icon at the bottom right-hand corner of your Windows taskbar. Right-click the icon and click "View Available Wireless Networks".

Scroll through the list of wireless networks available and click the name of the network you want to connect to. Enter the encrypted network key if prompted, and click "Connect".

Open your preferred web browser and navigate to your favorite website. If it loads properly, you have successfully connected to the Internet via wireless network.

Tips & Warnings
If you do not see the network connection icon or if there is an exclamation point next to the icon, make sure your wireless networking card or built-in wireless card is installed with the most current hardware drivers available.
