How to Draw General Grievous From Star Wars
General Grievous is one of the most feared villains in "Star Wars." As the leader of the Droid Army, Grievous is known for his fighting style and his collection of light sabers that he keeps as trophies from his defeated opponents. His cyborg-like body stands out, making him an interesting character to draw.

1
Set your picture of General Grievous next to your blank piece of paper. You will use this as a reference in drawing the character. Sketch out the basic shape of the character. This should consist of simple lines, circles and squares that will develop shape over the next few steps.Take note that his legs are asymmetrical. We will call these construction lines. Draw lightly as these lines will be erased later.

2
Turn your focus to drawing General Grievous's head. Notice the skeletal shape. Draw the outline of the cheeks and lower portion of his face plate. Draw the egg-shaped eyes into place approximately half way between the top of his head and the bottom of his faceplate. Fill in the major details of the faceplate. Draw a cylinder shape for the ear pieces, then outline the ear transmission pieces that lie underneath the ear.

3
Fill in the more detailed areas such as the eyes, teeth and collar. Erase any construction lines that may be present and then make the lines darker and more detailed. Make sure that you notice details such as the wrinkles around his eyes, neck tubes, wires and antennae.

4
Sketch out more detailed shapes for the arms, hands and chest. Notice that the body of General Grievous is mostly robotic and is composed of basic shapes. Start by drawing lightly, then erase the construction lines and fill in the detail and shadow to the body. Pay attention to the parts that are flesh and the parts that are machine.

5
Move to the lower half of General Grievous. The bottom half is all machine and is made up of nuts, bolts and bars. Sketch out the shapes of the legs, taking notice that one of his legs is in four pieces. Draw in his bird claw-like toes. Erase the construction lines and fill in the details. You can now color your drawing if you desire.
