How to Redirect Mail to Gmail
Gmail from Google is one of the most popular email clients in the industry because of its convenient user interface and advanced features. Opening a Gmail account is common, but once you do, you still want to be able to receive emails that are sent to your other email address. While you can alert your contacts of the email change, some emails might still go to the other account. In this case, you can set up your other email account to redirect mail to your Gmail inbox.

Login to your other email account. For example, if you have a Yahoo! or a Hotmail email account, you will need to go to the respective home page and enter your login and password information. Once you do this, you will be taken to your email inbox.

Click on "Options" or something similar, depending on your email provider. For example, in Hotmail, you would click on "Options" and then "More Options" to get to the screen that you need. In other email clients, you may simply be able to click on a single link to go the options page.

Look for a link that allows you to implement email forwarding. For instance, if you are using Hotmail, you can click on a link that simply says "Email forwarding," At that point, you will be taken to the "Email forwarding" screen, which will allow you to set your forwarding options.

Enter your Gmail address into the text box that is displayed. Most email accounts will have a box that follows a question such as "Where do you want your messages to be sent?" You may also be able to select specific options for forwarding your email. You might be able to choose which emails are forwarded and which ones are deleted. Once you select the appropriate options, click on "Save" and leave the screen. At that point, all of your new incoming mail that meets the criteria you set will be forwarded to your Gmail account.
