How to Install a DirecTV Dish That Has Two Coaxials on an LNB
Dual-LNB (low-noise blocking) modules are designed with internal switches that allow the antenna to handle two separate DirecTV receivers at the same time. DirecTV dish antennas with dual-LNB modules require an additional coaxial cable line connection for the second receiver in the setup. The process of installing a DirecTV dish antenna that has two coaxial lines on the LNB is fairly straightforward.
Things You'll Need
- Philips-head screwdriver
- 2 RG-6 coaxial cables
- Adjustable wrench (optional)

1
Screw the four wood or cement base screws into the holes at the base of the mast pole. The mounting location for the mast needs to have an unobstructed view of the southern sky.
-
2
Place the dish antenna assembly onto the mast pole, aligning the opening in the mast clamp on the back of the assembly with the top of the mast pole. Tighten the screw on the mast clamp to secure the assembly in place on the mast.

Plug the second RG-6 coaxial cable into the "L2" port under the LNB module on the lateral arm of the antenna assembly, then plug the other end of the cable into the "Antenna" port on the back of your second DirecTV satellite receiver.
