How to Make a Heart on Facebook Chat

Facebook chat allows users to instantly communicate with each other eliminating the need to post on a profile's main wall or sending a personal message. As long as users are currently online the chat feature serves as an efficient method to stay in touch. Although animations and drawings are not readily available users can freely insert compliant symbols, such as hearts, using a set of key combinations.

Instructions

1. Log on to your Facebook account. Click to launch the "Chat" application located in the lower-right corner.

2. Click to select the person you wish to chat with.

3. Press and hold the "Alt" key on your keyboard, and then type the number "3" to effectively create a heart symbol. Press enter to send the symbol to the person you are chatting with.
