How to Hang a 13-Foot Hammock
A 13-foot hammock is large enough for any person to lay in and has enough extra material on the ends to make getting in and out of it a cinch. Hanging a such a large hammock is identical to hanging a smaller hammock, but the space between the trees must be greater to prevent the hammock from touching the ground. As with all hammocks, scouting out the proper hanging location is the most important step in the process. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
If the hammock has wooden spreader bars across each end, the distance between the trees should be 13 feet. If the hammock does not have spreader bars, the distance between the trees should be 2/3 the length of the hammock, or in this case approximately 8.6 feet.
The two trees should be approximately spaced at the proper distances; measure the distance with a tape measure to ensure it is accurate. The ideal trees should have a trunk circumference of at least 38 inches for proper support.
For a more permanent installation, insert threaded eye bolts into the trees instead of the bungee cords.
