How to Copy & Edit on Tumblr
If you have a Tumblr blog you do not have to just post your own original material. Tumblr users expect that others will copy their posts. Most people do not edit the posts that they copy as the Tumblr community does not normally approve of that. However, you can make some minor edits without offending anyone, especially to photo captions.

Login to your Tumblr account and go to the Tumblr post you want to copy.

Click "Reblog" in the upper-right. You will go to the "New Post" page.

Click on the "Caption" box for a photo post and make the edits you want. For text posts make any edits in the main post field.

Click "Create Post" to post the photo or text on your Tumblr blog.
