How to Set Your Own Theme on Neopets
Neopets is an online pet game that allows users to select their own avatars for use in their community forum. It offers options for customizing their individual user look-ups, which are seen by other members of the site. In addition, you can also edit your "theme" for when you browse the site. While the theme you choose does not affect how your profile is seen by other players, it gives you an opportunity to see the website in a new way. Themes change the color of the title and sidebars, and some add Neopet images to the corner of your browser window. You can choose your own theme from a selection of default colors and acquire new themes as you progress through the game.

Log in to your Neopets account and hover over the "My Account" button located on the top toolbar.

Select "Preferences" from the drop-down menu. This will take you to a screen where you can edit your theme options.

Scroll down until you see the "Theme" option. Click on the down arrow to the right and choose the your desired theme from the drop-down box.

Collect and earn new custom sidebars. Users have a selection of "default" sidebar themes when they sign up, but additional themes are awarded by participating in plots (game story lines). Other themes are given out as seasonal rewards, such as on holidays, by referring new members or by purchasing items from the Premium Shop.
