How to See All Unread Mail in Gmail
Gmail is Google's proprietary email service. Gmail's major focus is for users to keep all emails without the need to empty their inbox; this option helps alleviate the pressure of deleting important data. When many messages are present, however, sorting through unread and opened emails can become a hassle. Fortunately, Gmail provides a simple method to filter out opened messages and only disclose unread content.

2
Type "In: Unread" into the search field displayed near the top of the screen to perform a wide search for all unread messages. Typing additional information, such as a folder or a recipient's name, searches only for emails pertaining to your search query. For example, "In: Unread John Smith" displays only emails from this recipient. "In: Drafts Is: Unread" searches only the "Drafts" folder.
