How to Find a Neopet That Is Painted
Neopets come in four basic colors: blue, red, green and yellow. After creating a Neopet, you have the option of painting it, which is done by purchasing a paintbrush with Neopoints and taking the pet to the Rainbow Pool. However, paintbrushes are generally costly. If you do not have enough Neopoints to purchase a paintbrush, you can still get a painted Neopet; just go to the Neopian Pound and find a pet that is already painted.

Sign into your Neopets account, and click the "Pet Central" link at the top of the page.

Scroll down the Pet Central main page, and locate the Neopian Pound on the right side of the page. Click the link.

Click on the pink door with a sign that says "Adopt."

Look at all of the Neopets that are up for adoption. The pet's color is located directly underneath. Any color other than the four basic Neopet colors is considered a painted pet. Keep refreshing the page until you find your desired Neopet.

Push the "Adopt" button to adopt the pet.

Confirm the adoption by pressing the "OK" button on the pop-up box. A fee, which is dependent on such factors as the pet's attack, movement and defense levels, will be accessed.

Tips & Warnings
You are allowed to have only four pets, so you can adopt a new pet only if you have three pets or less.
