It is becoming common for people to avoid the sun's rays. This is due to the availability of information that shows that the sun can lead to premature aging and cancer. This can lead to choosing a sunless tan option to get that golden glow. One such option, that is available at tanning salons, is VersaSpa. You stand in a booth and are sprayed with the sunless tanner. It's possible to customize it by choosing the shade that you want, from light to dark. Another way to customize it is that you can choose a firming hydration spray in conjunction with the tanner. It is crucial to make VersaSpa preparation a priority for optimal results.

Things You'll Need

  • Body scrub
  • Washcloth
  • Loose-fitting clothing
  • Bathing suit (optional)
  • Barrier cream

Exfoliate your skin the night before getting VersaSpa. With any sunless tanner, it works best on skin that is exfoliated and rid of all dead cells. The tan absorbs better and fades better on exfoliated skin. Use a soft washcloth and a gentle body scrub to exfoliate your skin. Put the scrub on a wet washcloth and rub it in circles all over the skin. Rinse it off with water.

Shower or bathe the morning before your VersaSpa appointment. If you need to shave at all, do so before the appointment. That garners the best results. After showering, do not apply moisturizer, deodorant, makeup or perfume.

Dress in loose-fitting clothing for your appointment. It is best if they are dark. After getting the spray tan, there is a possibility that the solution may rub off onto the clothes. To prevent staining, dark clothing is perfect. Pack a bathing suit to wear during the spray tan, if you so desire.

Apply barrier cream to nails, feet and hands. The barrier cream will be available at your appointment. It guards against those areas soaking up too much color and becoming orange. Put a copious amount on those areas and rub it in.
