How to Hook My PS3 Up to a Dynex Flat Screen

The PlayStation 3 is a complete entertainment system that features video games, Netflix, music and photo streaming, and a complete media store for purchasing new content. The Dynex brand of televisions are sold exclusively through Best Buy as an in-house brand and include affordable high-definition LCD televisions in its line of products. The PlayStation 3 can connect to the entire Dynex line of LCD televisions.

Things You'll Need

• A/V Cable included with PS3 Console
• HDMI Cable (optional)

Instructions

1. Connect the A/V Cable to the port on your PlayStation titled "AV Multi Out."

2. Connect the red, white and yellow ends of the cable to the Dynex's RCA input. Make sure that the colors match the ports they are being inserted into.

3. Turn on both the PS3 and the Dynex television. Using the Dynex remote control, press the "Input" button to switch the television to "Video 1" and confirm that the PlayStation 3 has been hooked up correctly. The loading or start screen for the PS3 should be displayed.

Tips & Warnings

• Use an HDMI cable for better video quality and high-definition. Connect one end on the cable to the "HDMI Out" port on the PlayStation 3 and the other end to the "HDMI 1" port on the Dynex television. Use the remote to change the television's input to "HDMI 1." Power on both the PlayStation and Dynex television to confirm that it was hooked up correctly.
