Instructions

  1. Lavender Cookies

    • 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray your baking sheet with nonstick spray.

    • 2

Ground your dried lavender with a mortar and pestle. The grinds should be fine so that you can mix it into your baked goods without encountering large pieces.

    • 3

Mix the butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl. Blend well until the mixture is creamy. Beat the egg and add it to the bowl. Fold in the lavender and flour so that the bowl's contents are well blended.

    • 4

Create cookies out of the batter. If you spoon out your batter in teaspoon sizes, this recipe will make 2 1/2 dozen lavender cookies.

    • 5

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cookies are a light golden color. Allow them to cool on a rack before serving. Always check the inside of the cookies when you pull them out of the oven to make sure they are cooked all the way through.

    • 9

Scatter the potatoes onto the baking sheet. Place the lavender sprigs or dried lavender buds over the top of the potatoes. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are crispy on the outside.
