How to Hook My Wi-Fi Up to My BlackBerry

The BlackBerry is a popular and versatile smartphone manufactured by the Canadian company, Research in Motion. BlackBerries are Wi-Fi-enabled and will utilize a configured wireless connection to download files and supplement the phone's cellular connection. To hook your Wi-Fi up to your BlackBerry, make sure your wireless network is broadcasting a wireless signal and have your BlackBerry in-hand.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" button on the BlackBerry to view the Home screen.

2. Scroll to and select the "Setup" option on the Home screen. Press the trackpad or trackball.

3. Select "Set Up Wi-Fi" and press the trackpad or trackball. A notification of Wi-Fi setup will open.

4. Select the "Setup" option and press the trackpad or trackball.

5. Select "Next."

6. Select the "Scan for Networks" option and press the trackpad or trackball.

7. Scroll to and select your Wi-Fi network. Press the trackpad or trackball. If your network is not secured with a security key or passphrase, the Wi-Fi network is now connected. If your network is secured, a password prompt will appear. Type the password and press the trackpad or trackball. The connection is made.

8. Scroll to and select "Save" to save the Wi-Fi connect. The connection is saved for future use.
