How to Make an Easy Lip Plumper

Lip plumpers wear off after a few hours.

Many people associate full, pouty lips with sexiness, but not everyone was born with them. Some people opt for silicone injections to permanently plump up their lips. However, people who don't want permanent changes may opt for lip plumping potions.These potions are topical and swell the lips, temporarily giving them a pouty look. Lip product manufacturers offer these products, but you can make them using items from your pantry.

Things You'll Need

• 6 tbsp of olive oil
• 3 drops of cinnamon leaf essential oil
• 1 drop of vitamin E
• 1 drop of vitamin B6
• 1 drop of vitamin B3
• Sponge tip applicator
• Empty lip-gloss pan with lid
• Petroleum jelly
• Plastic spoon
• 1 drop of peppermint essential oil
• Toothpick

Instructions

Cinnamon Plumper

1. Pour 6 tablespoons of olive oil in a small container with a tight lid. Add 6 drops of cinnamon leaf essential oil.

2. Add one drop each of vitamins E, B6 and B3 to the container. Place the lid on the mixture and shake well.

3. Apply the mixture to your lips using a clean, sponge-tip applicator. Keep the remaining mix in a cool, dark place until ready for use again.

Peppermint Treatment

1. Fill an empty lip-gloss pan with petroleum jelly. Use a small plastic spoon to transfer the jelly.

2. Drop one drop of peppermint essential oil in the pan. Use a toothpick to mix the two ingredients together.

3. Apply the plumper to your lips using the pad of your forefinger. Wash your hands when finished. Put the lid on the plumper and place it in a dark cabinet.

Tips & Warnings

• Some people are allergic to essential oils. If lips become unusually large or feel painful, stop using lip plumper immediately.
