How to Reset a Corrupted iPod
Like any other device, your iPod's software can freeze up or experience a critical system error that causes it to work improperly. Fortunately, your iPod comes with a built-in reset procedure to restore the operating system to a functional condition. If your iPod still isn't working properly, use the iTunes software to perform a restore to the iPod. The restore process will clear all the content saved to the iPod, but it will resolve serious operating issues.
