How to Record a Song on an iPod Nano 8G
The iPod 8th-generation (8G) is a multimedia player. With it, you have the option to play your favorite music and videos. If you hear a song on the radio, record it with your iPod Nano. Your Nano has a feature for you to record sound and music. You also may use your built-in microphone to record important notes and information that you need to remember. Recording your favorites is as simple as pressing a few buttons.

Press the "Extras" app. Choose "Voice Memo" from the list of options.

Choose your recording quality. "High Quality" records at 22 kHz and "Low Quality" at 44.1 kHz.

Hold your iPod Nano close to the device that is playing a song. Press the center button on the bottom to begin recording.

Press the "MENU" button when you are done. Click "Stop and Save."

Play back the recording. Touch "Extras" and "Voice Memos." Choose your recording from the list.
