How to Clear the Drop Down Menu in Mozilla Firefox
Firefox's "autocomplete" feature helps speed up your Web browsing experience. Whenever you type in the browser's location bar, a drop-down menu appears. This menu may contain a mixture of previously visited websites and entries from your bookmarks collection. Although this feature makes it easier to revisit old sites, you may want to clear this drop-down menu when it becomes too large. Clearing the menu can reduce its size and prevent others from viewing your browsing history if you share the computer.

Tips & Warnings
Do not worry about losing your bookmarks by choosing "Nothing" in the previous section. Firefox simply stops displaying them in the drop-down menu when you type in the location bar.
