How Do I Get Badges in "Dark Cloud 2"?
By earning Monster Badges in "Dark Cloud 2" you can transform Monica into a variety of powerful creatures. Each of the 10 available monsters will level up as you use it within the dungeons, gaining new forms and strengths as it progresses. You'll begin collecting Monster Badges in chapter two, after receiving the Badge Box from Jurak. You can obtain Monster Badges by throwing items at enemies in the dungeons. Each type of Monster Badge requires a specific item and enemy. Hit an enemy with the correct item and it will drop a Monster Badge when it is defeated.

Earn the Beast Badge by loading a Gift Capsule with three Cheeses. Locate a Sewer Rat in the Sewers. Hit the enemy with the Gift Capsule, and then defeat it to obtain the Badge. Alternatively, you can use a Gift Capsule loaded with three Premium Chickens on a Ram in Starlight Canyon.

Earn the Windup Badge by locating a Bomber Head at Mount Gundor. Use Bombs to defeat it and obtain the Badge.

Earn the Aquatic Badge by loading a Gift Capsule with three Battan. Locate a Froggy in the Sewers. Hit the enemy with the Gift Capsule, then defeat it to obtain the Badge. Alternatively, use a Gift Capsule loaded with three Evys on a Goyone in Ocean's Roar Cave.

Earn the Flora Badge by purchasing it from the Tailor Shop in Jurak Mall. It will cost 500 Gilda.

Earn the Magical Badge by loading a Gift Capsule with three Sturdy Rocks. Locate a Statue in Ocean's Roar Cave. Hit the enemy with the Gift Capsule, and defeat it to obtain the Badge.

Earn the Darkling Badge by loading a Gift Capsule with three Gold Bars. Locate a Spider Lady in the Rainbow Butterfly Woods. Hit the enemy with the Gift Capsule, and defeat it to obtain the Badge. Alternatively, use a Gift Capsule loaded with three Rubies on a Medusa-type enemy in Ocean's Roar Cave.

Earn the Reptile Badge by loading a Gift Capsule with three Wind Elements. Locate a Wind Gemron in Starlight Canyon. Hit the enemy with the Gift Capsule, and defeat it to obtain the Badge.

Earn the Card Badge by loading a Gift Capsule with three Diamonds. Locate a Diamond Card in the Moon Flower Palace or the Zelmite Mines. Hit the enemy with the Gift Capsule, and defeat it to obtain the Badge.

Tips & Warnings
There are two other badges in the game that don't function like the rest. Get the Moon Badge from Donny when your photography level is seven, and the Sun Badge when your photography level reaches eight. The Sun and Moon Badges don't provide a monster transformation, but instead enhance the monster forms, making them more powerful and longer-lasting.
Obtain Gift Capsules by inventing them or purchasing them from Claire or the Jurak Mall. Each Gift Capsule costs 400 Gilda.
To increase your accuracy, stun an enemy with a Heart-Throb Cherry or Stone Berry before throwing the Gift Capsule.
