How to Convert PSDs to HTML 1
Converting PSDs, or Photoshop documents, to HTML 1, is done using Photoshop's slice feature. Create webpages by converting a sliced Photoshop document into a file group that contains an HTML file and attached images. The process is useful for designers who might prefer using Photoshop as a design software and who might not be familiar with web production software. Converting PSDs to HTML is a simple procedure, but if changes are made to the original Photoshop document, the procedure must be repeated in order to update the HTML file.
Instructions
-
-
1
Open your document in Photoshop.
-
2
Select the slice feature from the tools bar.
-
-
3
Click and drag your mouse over the sections you wish to slice. By default, the size of the slice, or section, will be determined by your drags.
-
4
Save the file by selecting "File" --> "Save for Web." You will need to make sure the file output is set to "HTML & Images" in order for it to save as HTML.
-
5
Find the HTML file on your computer, and open it in your browser to view the final result.
