Draw an oval for the girl's face. Draw two big circles for eyes and draw two smaller circles inside the circles for her eyes. The inner circles are her irises They should fill up almost the entire outer circle.

Draw a wiggly line starting above the girl's head. This is her curly hair. Bring her hair down to just below her chin. Draw a half moon shape on the girl's face, with the outward curved end facing her chin. This is the girl's mouth. Repeat the half moon shape inside to form the open mouth, then sketch a row of square teeth in the mouth.

Draw a vertical line beginning between the girl's eyes and curve it slightly to your left to form the rise of the nose. Add long vertical lines above the girl's eyes for eyelashes.

Shade beneath the eyes to give them depth and to help promote the bug-eyed effect. Add some shading around the upper portion of the eyes as well. Darken the shading to help make the eyes appear rounder and more dimensional.
