How to Close a Swagbucks Account

Close your Swagbucks account through your online dashboard.

Swagbucks is an online account that allows you to earn reward points through the website. Points, or Swag Bucks, are acquired by shopping and answering surveys. The points can be redeemed for free items on the Swagbucks website. If you no longer want to keep your Swagbucks account you can close it by notifying the company of your decision.

Cancel Account

1. Go to the Swagbucks website and log into your account by entering your email address and password on the homepage.

2. Locate and click on the "View Account" link, and then click on "Account Details." At this point you are asked to re-enter your password before clicking on the "Close My Account" option at the bottom of the page.

3. Read the message that appears asking if you are positive you want to close your account. Click "Cancel" if you are sure you want to close your account. Deleting your account means losing all of the information stored in your account as well as all of your Swag Bucks.

4. Enter your password one more time to cancel your account.

Opt Out of Receiving Swagbucks Correspondence

1. Go to your email account and login. Once you are logged in you need to create a new email. To cancel your Swagbucks account you have to use what Swagbucks refers to as the "Opt Out."

2. Send your email to [e-mail]. You need to include your Swagbucks account number, your name and contact information in the email, as well as a note that you want to opt-out of future emails.

3. Send your email to Swagbucks. Once your email is received, you will stop receiving notifications and correspondence from the company.
