How to Post a URL in Your Facebook Feed

When you share information on Facebook, you can post comments, website links, photos, videos and polls. Understanding how to embed website links in a Facebook status will help ensure that your status posts properly and is visible to your friends, as you intend it to be. Scroll through the available thumbnail images for the link to catch more attention with an added image.

Instructions

1. Load your Facebook profile in a browser.

2. Click the "Link" button above the status input box. The box changes to a URL input box.

3. Copy and paste the URL into the box. Click the arrow buttons by the thumbnail to select from the available thumbnail images for the link.

4. Paste the link into your "What's on your mind" status input box as part of your status if you want to include a comment. Remove the link from the text box once the link appears below the input field and complete the rest of your comment.

5. Click "Share" to publish the image to your Facebook wall.
