How to Change Palm Pre Icons
The Palm Pre is a touch-screen cellphone that allows you to call, text, surf the Web and organize tasks. Each application on the Palm Pre is represented by an icon, much like a computer. The Quick Launch bar on the home screen features five icons, which by default are phone, contacts, e-mail, calendar and the launcher. In order to change these icons depending on your preferences, you can swap them out of Quick Launch one by one at any time, except for the launcher application.

Open the launcher by pressing your finger to the launcher icon. The Quick Launch bar will appear at the bottom of your screen.

Tap and hold the icon that you wish to swap out for a different one. As you are holding it, a glowing halo will appear around the icon to signify that it is ready to be moved.

Drag the icon up the screen after the halo appears around it. This will remove this particular icon from your Quick Launch bar.

Tap and hold the icon that represents the application you wish to add to your Quick Launch bar. When a glowing halo appears around the icon, drag it downward into the Quick Launch bar.

Repeat with other icons as necessary.
