How to Fix a PS3 to Watch Hulu

If you own a PlayStation 3 and have a Hulu Plus account, you can use your PS3 to stream Hulu movies and television shows directly to your console. You don't need a paid PlayStation Network account, but you will need a paid Hulu Plus account. Free Hulu accounts only work with computers, so you cannot activate a game console unless you step up to a paid Hulu Plus account.

Instructions

1. Turn on the PS3 with no game loaded in the tray. The PS3 main menu will load automatically.

2. Scroll the menu bar to and click "Games" followed by "PlayStation Store."

3. Go to the search bar and type in "Hulu Plus" and then click the "Download" button.

4. Wait for the download to complete, then return to the main menu.

5. Scroll to "Games" and open "Hulu Plus." The program will take you to the "Activate This Device" screen.

6. Select "Log in to Hulu Plus" to activate the PS3 on your Hulu account through the console. Type your Hulu email address and password, then click "Login" to activate the PS3.

Tips & Warnings

• You can select "Device Activation Code" to activate the PS3 through your computer. The screen will show an activation code. Open your computer's Web browser and go to hulu.com/activate. Sign into your Hulu account and type in the activation code. Click the "Activate" button to complete the activation process.
