How to Convert DBF Recognized by Access 2007

DBF is an underlying format of dBase widely used in applications such as Microsoft Access that need a simple format to store structured data. Access 2007 allows you to import dBase files like DBF into an existing database. When you import the DBF file, Access converts it into a recognizable form. Note that you may require administrative rights to import and convert a DBF file in certain Access databases and reports.

Instructions

1. Open the Microsoft Access 2007 database.

2. Click the "File" menu. Point to "Get External Data." Select "Import."

3. Click the "Files of type" box. Choose ".dbf" in the "Import" dialog box.

4. Navigate to the DBF file that you want to convert and import into Access.

5. Double-click the DBF file to finish the task.
