How to Fix a Kodak EasyShare C530 That Won't Work With Memory Cards
Kodak's EasyShare C530 is a basic point-and-shoot digital camera. The device is compatible with removable memory cards that can be inserted into the body of the camera. There is also 16MB of internal memory. Image storage locations can be changed between card and camera. The memory cards have finite capacity, so storage capacities will be limited. Problems with Kodak's EasyShare C530 can be related to these types of issues.

1
Insert an SD, sometimes called Secure Digital, or MMC, sometimes called Multimedia card, into the slot properly. The card should be inserted with the label facing toward the front of the camera. It will work only one way. If you force the card in the wrong way it can permanently damage the card and camera, causing the camera not to work with cards. Allow the "Ready Light" to stop flashing before inserting or removing the card.

2
Choose the correct image-storage location if you continue to have problems. By default, the camera will record to the card if there's one in the camera. However, there is an "Image Storage" location setting within the "Settings" that can be overridden to force the camera to save images to the limited internal memory, even if a card is installed. Check that the settings are set to the default labeled "Auto."

Format the card in the camera rather than in a computer if you still have problems getting the camera to work with cards. Make sure the card's capacity hasn't been reached.
