Instructions

    • 1

Choose where you want to draw your star. Mark the spot that would be the center with a pencil.

    • 2

Place the tip of a protractor in the center spot. Draw a full circle lightly with the pencil on the protractor.

    • 3

Draw a cross lightly across the circle. From the top part of the cross, mark a light line about 72 degrees away from it using your protractor. Divide the rest of the circle this way until you have five 72-degree sections.

    • 4

Connect the dots, starting with the bottom left. Connect it to the top center, then draw a line back down to the bottom right. From there, connect that with the upper left section, and then straight across to the upper right. This will create your star. Erase any extra lines.

    • 5

Trace your star in heavier or colored pencil, permanent marker or paint. This will ensure your star will be easily seen on the paint on which you drew it.
