The NOOK has the ability to store and read files in ePub, PDB and PDF formats. When you transfer a PDF to your NOOK, the NOOK detects the PDF and displays it on your reader without the need for conversion software.

Instructions

      Connect one end of the USB to your NOOK and one end to your computer. The small end of the USB is inserted into the USB slot at the base of the NOOK, and the large end is inserted into the computer.

      Turn on your NOOK. The NOOK enters USB drive mode and displays a screen that tells you how to use it when it is connected to a computer. Your computer should automatically detect the NOOK.

      Open Windows Explorer by pressing the "Windows" key and the "E" key together.

      Locate the PDF you want to convert to the NOOK, and then click it to highlight it. Press "Ctrl" and "C" together to copy the file.

      Click the NOOK in Windows Explorer to highlight it, and then press "Ctrl" and "V" to paste the PDF into the NOOK. The file transfers and automatically converts to display on your NOOK screen.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your computer doesn't automatically detect the NOOK, open the drive by opening Windows Explorer, locating the NOOK in the left-screen list of drives and clicking on it.
