How to Merge FeedBurner Feeds

How to Merge FeedBurner Feeds thumbnail
You can merge feeds to share content from more than one website with your readers.

Merging multiple feeds is the perfect way to allow your readers to easily stay updated on all of your content without subscribing to every website you write for. You can also merge feeds to create a mashup of whatever content you'd like. While FeedBurner doesn't offer a tool to combine feeds, you can use Yahoo! Pipes to merge two or more FeedBurner feeds into a "Pipe" that users can subscribe to just like any other type of feed.

Instructions

    • 1

Log into Yahoo! Pipes. Click "Create Pipe." (If you don't already have a Yahoo! account, you'll need to create one.)

    • 2

Exit the dialog box that appears by clicking the red "x" in the top-right corner.

    • 3

Drag the "Fetch Feed" tab into the dialog area to create a "Fetch Feed" dialog box. Click the plus sign that appears in the box next to "URL" until there is a separate text area for each feed you want to merge. For example, if you are merging three feeds, click the plus sign twice so that three text areas are shown.

    • 4

Type the URLs for each feed you want to merge.

    • 5

Click the circle on the bottom border of the "Fetch Feed" box and drag it to the circle on top of the "Pipe Output" box.

    • 6

Click "Save" and type a name for your pipe in the box that appears. Click "Save."

    • 7

      Click the "Run Pipe" tab.

    • 8

Click "Publish." Your merged feed is now live. The URL for your new feed appears at the top of the screen next to the words "Pipe Web Address."
