The digital-terminal-to-USB cable connects the camera to a computer or compatible printer.

The PowerShot A620 is a digital camera manufactured by Canon that was released in 2005. Images recorded on the A620 can be transferred to a computer by way of a memory card reader. The A620 can also be connected directly using the Digital Terminal to USB cable in one of two ways: to a computer's USB port to transfer images to hard disk, or to a printer for direct printing.

Instructions

  1. Connecting to a PC

    • 1

      Open the interface cover on the right side of the camera to reveal the interface panel.

      Insert the digital terminal plug into the Canon camera port.

      Insert the USB plug into the computer's front panel USB port or a connected USB hub.

      Press the "Playback" button on the camera to turn it on. The "AutoPlay" dialog window will appear on the computer screen.

      Click "Import pictures and videos using Windows" and bring up the Import wizard.

      Click "Import" to transfer the recorded images and videos onto the computer. After the import process, the new folder will open and display all transferred files.

    Connecting to a Printer

      Open the interface cover on the A620 and reveal the interface panel.

      Insert the digital terminal plug into the camera port.

      Insert the USB plug into the printer's front USB panel or rear USB port.

      Press the "Playback" button on the camera.

      Use the "Left" or "Right" arrows next to the camera viewfinder to locate the image that you wish to print.

      Press the "Direct Print" button to transfer the image to the printer and begin printing.

Tips & Warnings

  • Direct printing from the A620 is only supported by PictBridge enabled, Canon Direct Print enabled or Bubble Jet Direct enabled printers.

  • Older operating systems such as Windows XP or Windows ME can download device drivers from the Canon support site.
